We are proud to announce that the Commons Building at Saxon Suites Student Housing at UCLA is the recipient of a 2018 American Architecture Award. Presented by The Chicago Athenaeum, together with The European Center for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies and Metropolitan Arts Press, the awards honor the best, new significant buildings, landscape and planning projects designed and/or built in the United States and abroad by the most important american architects practicing nationally and internationally. It is a real honor to be part of this prestigious group of projects and architects!
From a record number of submissions, over 100 winning projects were selected by a celebrated jury of design professionals and educators. The selected projects represent new directions in architecture and design thinking. We are delighted to be recognized as an architecture firm that is always striving to be at the leading edge of design. Learn more about our winning project.
We dedicate this award to the memory of Jeff Averill who was the campus architect and tireless advocate for design at the UCLA campus before passing entirely too soon this past year. His leadership and advocacy for great design inspired our efforts and we are thankful for the opportunity to have worked together to realize this important addition to student life.
