Projects Under Construction

Here are a number of construction projects currently underway. Half of these projects are expected to be completed by the end of this year, while others are just starting their construction phase. These projects will bring significant changes to the area. Stay tuned for updates as the projects progress.

Kelvin
Lemon Grove, CA

This project is all about transformation and progress in downtown Lemon Grove. Replacing an old athletic supply store will be a new 5-story mixed-use building that features three ground-level retail locations, 66 residential apartments, and amenities, including a feature roof deck. 

Completion Date: Winter 2023

Paseo del Sol
San Diego, CA

Located adjacent to the Amanecer Apartments and by the same developer, this 3-story, 60 unit affordable housing project was designed specifically to serve the needs of seniors. The building creates an L-shape that surrounds a courtyard facing the community park. A wellness trail connects around the perimeter of the site and encourages seniors to take their daily walk.

Blossom Hill Apartments
San Jose, CA

A new mixed-use development is being built in the Bay Area that will include a large central courtyard and space for future commercial use, as well as a parking structure and social service offices. One-third of the 147 total units will be dedicated to permanent supportive housing.

Completion Date: Winter 2023

ShoreLINE
San Diego, CA

This Tax-Credit financed, transit-oriented development creates 126 units of workforce housing directly adjacent to a trolley station in Mission Valley. City plans for a public park along the “shoreline” of the creek will offer a significant amenity in the near future.

Completion Date: Spring 2024

Park Lofts
San Diego, CA

This infill development in the University Heights neighborhood provides 190 units in a 7-story mixed-use building. A mix of unit sizes, and residential amenities including a lobby coffee shop, roof terrace and expansive pool deck, make this a vibrant place to live. Two levels of underground parking complete the package.

Completion Date: Summer 2024

Kimball
National City, CA

This pair of projects adjacent to Kimball Park will provide 145 units of  affordable family housing. The development aims to create an inter-generational walkable community by including a new 7,500 sf senior center integrated into the project along with public spaces connecting to the park and other community amenities.

Alum Rock
San Jose, CA

Alum Rock is a mixed-use 100% affordable 60 unit multifamily development within a 5-story building. The project is the first in a phased redevelopment of three contiguous parcels. Due to this unique relationship with its future sister buildings, Alum Rock provides two “fronts”—a boulevard façade and a parking court façade.

Completion Date: Fall 2024

8th & University
San Diego, CA

A new 90-unit mixed-use development located in the heart of the Hillcrest neighborhood. This 8-story building is made possible by the City's Complete Communities initiative.

Completion Date: Winter 2024

Landis & E Senior Apartments
Chula Vista, CA

Concrete is getting placed at this infill project in the heart of Chula Vista. The three-story, 58-unit residential community will serve low-income seniors.

Completion Date: Fall 2024
