In joining North County's High Tech campus, High Tech Middle follows in the stylistic footsteps of its neighboring High School. The two-story building shares its predecessor's tan-colored, textured, load-bearing concrete masonry and metal-clad, awning-covered windows. A bright blue corrugated tower announces the school's entry, and animates the grand stair within. The Commons—functioning as the social heart of the school—opens directly onto the campus recreation area beneath an expansive, sheltering standing seam roof. Fabric awnings cast shade over a comfortable shared lunch court.
