John Sheehan Elevated to The College of Fellows

News

Congratulations are in order! Principal Architect John Sheehan has been elevated to The College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects. Fewer than three percent of all architects practicing in the United States are invited to become members of the College of Fellows. John was selected in part for his "notable contributions to the advancement of the profession of architecture."

John Sheehan's career has been keenly focused on producing thoughtful, sustainable, and life-affirming places for communities historically underrecognized by most in the profession. As a founding partner of Studio E Architects, he has enjoyed designing affordable housing for low-income families, at-risk seniors, homeless veterans, foster care youth, special needs individuals, and women and children fleeing domestic violence. His public charter school projects are institutions developed in collaboration with other organizations offering real choices for parents seeking bold educational alternatives.

Equity, dignity, and opportunity are common threads woven into John's work. Please join us in congratulating John for many significant achievements during his three-decade career. We look forward to the next chapter of his unique and personal dedication to the architecture of housing, schools, and non-profit client support.
