Villa del Oro

Chula Vista, CA

Inspired by the early 20th Century California architectural masters such as Cliff May, William Wurster and Irving Gill, Villa del Oro celebrates the relaxed, casual cool of West Coast living. Warm white stucco walls are enlivened by crafted wood and steel awnings, window grills, balconies, trellises and pergolas. Deep roof eaves protect large openings from the sun on upper floors. A lushly landscaped courtyard forms the centerpiece of the 80 unit complex. Storm water runoff is directed to a linear basin – a feature that mimics a dry arroyo with boulders and grasses. The courtyard also hosts a massive bar-b-que area, two palm tree shaded lounging areas as well as a pool and spa. The units are all one and two bedroom floorplans – including the court level “casitas”. Parking (including an extensive number of EV spaces) is discretely hidden beneath the buildings and around the perimeter. Residents have access to a fitness studio, a party lounge with kitchen and game tables and a conference room/business center. The building also includes a 1,300 sf lease space with a dedicated sidewalk porch for café seating along the main street frontage.
