1660 India
San Diego, CALocated in the heart of San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood, 1660 India repurposes a former offset printing house as an eye-catching sales office for a local condominium developer. The 9,500 square foot building was stripped back to its shell and opened up to the street to create high visibility, traffic stopping retail and gallery space.
The building’s second level is outfitted to display models and plans of under-construction downtown developments; a furnished unit mock-up, private office space, and meeting rooms fill out the remaining floor. This radical make-over included new entrances, lobbies, signage, and lighting, as well as new exterior finishes.
