San Ysidro Senior Village is a 51-unit affordable housing community for seniors who have previously experienced homelessness. The apartments provide permanent housing with case-management support for residents. Positioned close to Interstate 5, the project wraps sawtooth building elements around a protected courtyard. The graphic quality of the exterior is intended to be seen at freeway speeds while also offering a lively pedestrian experience at the sidewalk and a protected garden on the inside. Residents enjoy direct bus access out their front door and are a short walk to a regional light rail station.
