LINTON Associate Jon received
the Deuxieme prix for Studies in Architecture and Urbanism from the École d'Art
Americaines in Fontainebleau, France in 1982; a Bachelor of Architecture with
Honors from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo in 1983;
and a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University
in New York City in 1986. He has been
honored for his work on the Greater Mid-City Historic Preservation Strategy, the
El Cajon Boulevard Business Development & Retention Project, and entries in The
Electric Vehicle and the American Community, Affordable Living: Building a City
of Neighbors, Rancho Mirage Civic Center and Central California History Museum
design competitions. A member of the
faculty at Woodbury University's San Diego architecture program, Jon previously
taught architectural design and urban design theory at the NewSchool of Art and
Architecture. A native San Diegan and
longtime Padres fan, Jon's favorite destinations include Vicenza, Italy; Ronda,
Spain; and Cooperstown, New York. When not boring students, watching sports or
playing softball, he'll probably be found at M-Theory or Second Spin. Jon
is Project Designer for a mixed-use redevelopment in North Park and is Project
Manager for the East Campus Graduate Student Housing and the Housing & Dining
Services Administration Building projects at UCSD. |
