A Texas native, Christi attended The University of Texas at Austin where she earned her BA in Architecture. When not cheering on her Texas Longhorns, she enjoyed participating in design studios abroad in both London and Vienna. Christi also participated in UT's first design build studio which kept her busy the summer after her graduation building a ranch house in the Texas Hill Country with her classmates. In 2001 Christi spent 8 months as an intern at Lake/Flato Architects in San Antonio, TX. That experience sparked her interest in regional architecture. After graduating from UT in 2004, Christi returned to her home town of Houston and joined BNIM Architects. At BNIM Christi became immersed in green design, completed the LEED documentation for a building that would achieve a Platinum rating, and led numerous LEED workshops. Looking for relief from Houston's humidity, Christi moved to San Diego in May 2007 and immediately joined Studio E. When not at the office, she can be found enjoying the southern California climate with her rescued dog, Hobie, exploring new beaches, or grilling with friends on her patio.
