Design goals for this sixteen-acre campus master plan for five charter schools and an Environmental Research Center in Chula Vista’s Otay Ranch area include creating a distinct place that fits in the landscape, a network of campus open spaces that links the schools, and connections to mountain and valley views.

The master plan reflects High Tech High’s environmental emphasis by configuring buildings to optimize solar exposure, maximize daylighting, and capture prevailing breezes. It also provides individual school autonomy within the overall campus and allows implementation phasing to provide long-term site flexibility.
